How Engagements Work
Even the best companies experience marketing failure. If marketing services start before the audience is fully understood success will be limited.
That’s why every Palteq engagement follows the same sequence.
We prioritise diagnosis before spend, using the Stall Point Framework in four stages.
Diagnosis: the Almost-Buyer Diagnostic
(Mandatory first engagement)
All work begins with the Almost-Buyer Diagnostic, a structured diagnostic process. This phase replaces assumptions with audience truth and identifies where alignment breaks
This phase replaces assumptions with audience truth and identifies where alignment breaks down.
Together, we examine:
- how your audience understands their problem
- what delays or accelerates their decision-making
- where your current messaging creates friction or confusion
- how competitors position themselves and where they fall short
Outcome:
A clear diagnosis of what your audience needs to hear, and when, for momentum to return.
Recommendation — Focused Application Paths
Once the diagnostic is complete, I recommend only the applications that make sense.
Usually a small number of focused paths based on what the audience actually needs next.
These recommendations may include messaging refinement, demand activation, conversion infrastructure, or advisory support, depending on what the insight reveals.
If execution isn’t the answer yet, I’ll tell you.
Application — Selected Execution or Advisory Support
Where application is appropriate, support may take different forms:
- hands-on execution
- collaborative build
- advisory guidance
The goal is to apply the insight without reintroducing noise or misalignment.
Expansion — Once Alignment Is Established
Once the message is landing consistently and buyers are self-selecting we can consider expansion.
At this stage, growth becomes safer, calmer, and more predictable because it’s built on alignment rather than volume.
What This Means in Practice
Every recommendation is grounded in what the audience has already shown us. This reduces ineffective scaling before understanding your audience.
